The Workout Is Over. The Routine Is Not.

The Workout Is Over. The Routine Is Not.

Brian Armer

For three straight weeks, Nina fell off the same move. A purple problem on the steepest wall of her bouldering gym, with one tiny crimp near the top that spit her off every single time. Tuesday night, 8:15 p.m., after a long day at work, she chalked up one more time. Left hand. Right hand. Heel hook. Crimp. She held it. She topped out, and the whole gym clapped.

THEN SHE LOOKED AT HER HANDS

Every climber knows the feeling. The high of the send, followed by the reality of your fingertips. A fresh flapper where a callus tore loose. Two raw pads. Skin so dry from chalk it looked like cracked desert ground. Nina had a presentation at work in the morning, a climbing trip in two weeks, and a pair of hands that looked like they had lost a fight.

This is the moment most people skip. They toss the shoes in the bag, drive home, and wonder why their skin is still wrecked three days later. The workout is over. But the routine that decides whether you are back on the wall tomorrow is just getting started.

THE FIVE-MINUTE RESET

  • Get out of the sweaty gear and shoes.
  • Hydrate, because your skin recovers too.
  • Wash up with body wash or soap boosted with All-Natural Infusion Hygienic Concentrate. One quarter of the 2 oz bottle, shaken into the product you already own, and every wash carries the full all-natural power of Zombie.
  • Check the spots taking the most wear: fingertips, palms, knuckles, and knees.
  • Treat anything torn or raw with Regenerate RX Protect and Restore Balm.

WHY THE LAST STEP MATTERS

A flapper is an open door. Climbing holds are touched by hundreds of hands a day, and broken skin gives microbial threats a way in. Regenerate RX was built to FIGHT them, including Staph and MRSA, while supporting barrier, moisture, and recovery for torn calluses and raw pads. Clean first when you can, but it can go directly on, because the apple cider vinegar inside begins cleaning on contact. Catch it early and apply promptly to give your skin a fighting chance. Deep cuts, spreading redness, or anything that gets worse belong with a doctor.

THE NEXT PROBLEM

Nina did her five-minute reset in the gym parking lot and again before bed. Two nights later, she was back on the wall, taping one finger and eyeing a brand new black problem in the corner. The one nobody at the gym had sent yet.

She chalked up and smiled.

The workout earns the story. The routine writes the next chapter.
