After a year of wrestling, Wilson began training in sambo and grappling at Hudson Combat Academy under coach Alex “Sasha” Lazebnikov in 2024. Wilson found quick success at regional grappling competitions with numerous wins at Grappling Industries and NAGA (North
American Grappling Association). He is currently undefeated in the sport of sambo with
championships at the 2025 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH and at the 2025 U.S. Open

by fellow competitors as well as being called a “real firecracker.”

Wilson takes his academics as seriously as his athletics. He aspires to attend one of the U.S.
service academies to develop his leadership and serve his country.
