The Pizza Herb Guarding Your Lips This Halloween
Happy Halloween from the Zombie Sport Co crew! Meet Big Mike. Two hundred and forty pounds of heavyweight wrestler, dressed tonight as the scariest thing he could think of: a giant inflatable T. rex with tiny arms that cannot reach his own headgear. The whole room is crying laughing. Mike does not care. Mike is tough.
Mike has wrestled through a broken finger. Mike finished a tournament with a black eye. Mike once drove home from practice with a mat burn the size of a pancake on his forearm and did not mention it to anybody for three days.
That last one is the problem.
TOUGH IS NOT THE SAME AS IGNORING IT
Here is the thing nobody tells the toughest guy in the room. Staph does not care how tough you are. It does not care about your record, your weight class, or your costume. Close contact, shared mats, shared gear, and small breaks in the skin are exactly how Staph and MRSA get around a room, according to the CDC.
Mike thought toughing it out was protecting his spot on the team. But a scrape left alone can turn into days on the wall, a drilling partner working with somebody else, and a bigger worry than the scrape ever was. The toughest move is not hiding it. It is handling it.
THE TOUGH GUY'S ZOMBIE KIT
- Before and after training: Infusion Hygienic Concentrate. One quarter of the 2 oz bottle turns the body wash, soap, or spray already in your bag into a Zombie routine. Spray on before the mat. Spray off after, so the mat does not ride home with you.
- When skin breaks: NutriCore Vital Recovery Spray. Point. Spray. Done. Built to fight Staph, MRSA, and HSV-1 without touching the spot that stings, and no sink needed.
- After practice and overnight: Regenerate RX Protect and Restore Balm. Built to fight Staph, MRSA, and HSV-1 while it supports wound closure and rebuilds battle-worn skin.
- Every day in between: Zombie Lips. Cold sore defense for lips that go face to face with the whole room.

THE REAL TOUGH-GUY RULES
Shower right after practice. Keep your towel, wraps, and gear to yourself. Wash and fully dry your training clothes every time. And if a spot turns red, swollen, warm, painful, or starts draining, do not pop it or push through it. Tell your coach, athletic trainer, or healthcare provider. Speaking up early is how tough guys stay on the mat.
THE T. REX GETS HIS HAND RAISED
This year, Mike did something new. He caught a scrape mid-practice, grabbed the spray from his bag, and handled it in two seconds. Then he went back out and pinned a guy dressed as a banana, tiny T. rex arms raised in victory.
Still the toughest guy in the room. Now he is also the smartest.
