Halloween vampire waiting outside a dark combat sports training room for an athlete to invite him inside

The Vampire Only Needed One Invitation. Happy Halloween!

Brian Armer

The vampire stood outside the training room at 11:58. Black coat. White teeth. No reflection in the glass. Through the door, he could hear gloves striking pads, bodies moving across the mat, and the timer screaming through the final ten seconds.

He wanted in, but every vampire knows the rule.

He needed an invitation.

THE ATHLETE GAVE HIM ONE WITHOUT SAYING A WORD

The invitation was not a wave through the door. It was the scrape dismissed as nothing, the cleanup postponed until morning, and the cracked skin hidden beneath tape. It was the sweaty hand moving from the mat to the phone, the car, and the front door.

The vampire smiled. Neglect had always been easier to enter than a locked room.

BEFORE TRAINING IS WHERE THE DOOR FIRST CLOSES

Combat sports are built around contact, shared surfaces, sweat, friction, and trust. Preparation does not remove those things. It respects them.

Infusion Hygienic Concentrate upgrades compatible water-based body wash, liquid soap, lotion, or spray when mixed and used according to directions. The athlete can build hygiene into the routine before contact starts instead of waiting until the work is already done. Body wash still cleans, lotion still moisturizes, and the spray still goes where it is aimed. Infusion connects those familiar products into one before-and-after standard.

The vampire tried the handle.

Locked.

AFTER TRAINING IS WHERE THE INVITATION GETS REVOKED

The timer ends, but the routine is not finished. Cleanup separates the shared room from the car ride and the people waiting at home. Skin gets checked while the moment is still fresh, and the scrape receives attention before “later” turns into silence.

NutriCore Vital Recovery Spray offers a no-touch option for tender areas. Point. Spray. Done. No rubbing and no added pressure. Regenerate RX Protect and Restore Balm supports dry, scraped, stressed, friction-exposed, and wound-adjacent skin with layered moisture, barrier, surface, and recovery support.

Zombie Lips supports lips through sweat, dehydration, weather, travel, and cold sore concerns that do not care what is on tomorrow’s schedule. Each product has its place because every moment does not need the same answer.

The vampire pressed his palm against the glass as the athlete cleaned up. His smile disappeared.

FOUR INVITATIONS AN ATHLETE CAN TAKE BACK

  • The skipped preparation: Build Infusion into a compatible water-based product before training and use it according to directions.
  • The delayed cleanup: Reset after training before the shared room follows the athlete into the rest of life.
  • The ignored tender area: Use NutriCore Vital when a no-touch spray makes more sense than rubbing or pressure.
  • The stressed skin left alone: Use Regenerate RX when moisture, barrier support, and staying power belong in the recovery plan.

THE VAMPIRE’S FAVORITE WORD WAS LATER

Later sounds harmless. It lets the athlete keep moving and avoids the awkward conversation with a coach, parent, trainer, or training partner. But later also gives small concerns the privacy they need to grow.

A real athlete-care routine closes that space. Prepare early, clean up promptly, pay attention when skin changes, and speak when something looks wrong.

No cape required.

SOME THINGS SHOULD NEVER BE INVITED TO PRACTICE

Zombie Sport Co products support athlete hygiene and skin care, but they do not replace medical care. If a sore, rash, blister, redness, swelling, drainage, or pain looks suspicious, tell a coach, parent, athletic trainer, or healthcare provider. Do not hide it beneath tape or keep training through it.

The vampire hated witnesses. He hated questions. Most of all, he hated athletes who understood that asking for help was part of protecting the room.

AT MIDNIGHT, THE DOOR OPENED

The athlete stepped outside clean, aware, and ready to go home. The vampire straightened his coat. For one hopeful second, he believed the invitation had finally arrived.

The athlete looked directly at him, then pulled the door shut behind him.

“Not tonight.”

The lock clicked. The vampire stood alone beneath the Halloween moon, starving for a training room that still confused carelessness with toughness.
